FinVigilante (finvigilante.com) is published by Top Tennis America LLC, Kettering, Ohio. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site or subscribe, how it is used, and who else handles it.
What we collect
- Account information. When you subscribe, free or paid, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name.
- Payment information. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe's form and goes directly to Stripe; we never see or store it. We receive from Stripe your name, email, the last four digits of your card, and your subscription status.
- Email activity. Our newsletter platform (Ghost) records whether an email was delivered, opened, and which links were clicked, so we can tell what readers find useful and keep our sending reputation intact.
- Site usage. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read. It sets cookies and collects your IP address and browser details. We do not use advertising trackers.
- Comments. If you comment on a post, the comment and your member name are public.
How we use it
To deliver the newsletter you subscribed to, to bill paid subscriptions, to respond when you write to us, to understand what readers use, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not send marketing on behalf of anyone else.
Who else handles it
Our service providers, each under their own privacy policy: Ghost and our host DigitalPress (site and email delivery), Stripe (payments). We will disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom of it, manage or cancel a paid subscription from your account page, and ask us to delete your account and data by writing to support@finvigilante.com.
Security and retention
Data is stored by the providers above, who encrypt it in transit and at rest. We keep account data while you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting, then delete it.
Children
The site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note it here and, for significant changes, email members.
