FinVigilante is not investment advice. It is a publication of general, impersonal technical analysis, sent to every paid member on the same schedule. Nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, and nothing is tailored to your situation, which we do not know. We are not registered as an investment adviser or broker-dealer with the SEC, FINRA, or any state, and we do not manage money.
Levels are mechanical and can be wrong. Every line, trigger, stop, and target is produced by a rules-based scan from end-of-day data and reviewed briefly before publication. Data can be bad, patterns can be misidentified, and a level that was valid at the close can be gone by the open. Check anything you intend to act on against your own chart.
Chart patterns fail often. A breakout from any pattern can reverse at once. Stops are a place to be wrong, not a guarantee; a gap can take price through a stop before an order fills. Past results, ours or anyone's, do not predict future results.
Research results are hypothetical. Research and backtest results on this site come from applying rules to past price data, not from real trades. They leave out commissions, slippage, taxes and companies that are no longer listed, which makes them look better than real trading would. Past results do not predict future ones.
You are responsible for your trades. Trading stocks involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Decide for yourself, or with a licensed adviser, whether any setup fits your objectives, experience, and finances, and never risk money you cannot afford to lose.
We may hold positions in names we publish. The author trades from the same list and may buy or sell any stock mentioned, before or after publication, without notice.
Earnings and news. We print the next earnings date under each chart because a report inside a trade changes everything, but dates come from third parties and can be wrong or move. Check them.
